Overview
We are looking to employ an energetic and friendly ophthalmic administrative assistant at the ophthalmology clinic.

The ideal candidate would need to have excellent attention to detail, good written spelling and grammar, comfort with computers and fast typing speed. It is a quick-paced environment. The needs of the clinic are ever changing and adaptability is a must to help the team thrive.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Performing lens counselling and helping with administrative paperwork. The primary responsibility will be guiding patients through the lens selection process during cataract surgery and submitting necessary paperwork to the hospital in a timely manner. Comfort with computers and attention to detail is a necessity at we utilize electronic medical records and digital forms.
- Maintaining patient records in a confidential manner




- Keeping exam rooms and work area clean and tidy

Requirements:

- Ability to work as part of the team and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the clinic
- Pleasant personality, professionalism and excellent customer service skills are essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Excellent computer skills

Hours: 14 - 28 hours per week

Salary: $18-23 dollars per hour depending on qualifications and experience
