About the Position

The Excel Group is an established commercial window-covering company specializing in blinds, motorized shades, drapery, cubicle curtain tracks, and related products.

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Installer / Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong handyman or construction skills who enjoys working with tools, solving problems, leading a team, and taking ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

- Install commercial blinds, motorized shades, drapery, cubicle curtain tracks, and related products
- Lead and work alongside the installation crew
- Complete site measurements and review site conditions
- Troubleshoot installation issues and complete deficiencies
- Provide progress reports, site photos, and project updates
- Read blueprints, specifications, and tender documents
- Prepare takeoffs and assist with estimates and quotations

Skills and Qualifications

- Strong handyman, construction, or installation experience
- Confident using power tools such as drills and saws
- Accurate measuring and strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Professional communication with contractors and clients
- Comfortable using email, Excel,



and PDF documents
- Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Able to safely lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs, with assistance when required
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a good driving record
- Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn
- Fluent English communication

Schedule and Travel

Regular hours are Monday to Friday, generally from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some projects may require earlier starts, paid overtime, or occasional out-of-town travel. All approved travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the company.

A background check will be required for chosen applicant.

Work location: On the road throughout the Lower Mainland, with some office work in Port Coquitlam and occasional out-of-town projects.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
