Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, respectful, and dedicated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to support two family physicians in our small and growing family practice clinic. We offer a collaborative and welcoming environment, with the added convenience of an attached pharmacy to enhance seamless patient care. Immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will:

· Communicate in a respectful, positive, and professional manner with patients, physicians and staff

· Create a friendly and inclusive environment for everyone accessing clinic services

· Consistently apply a patient-focused approach in daily interactions

· Use judgment and initiative to manage routine issues independently while recognizing when guidance is required

· Protect patient and staff confidentiality at all times

· Be adaptable, open to feedback, and capable of adjusting priorities when needed

· Remain composed and organized in a fast-paced or changing work environment

Primary Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Welcoming patients and completing registration procedures

· Managing incoming phone calls and addressing inquiries

· Booking and confirming appointments

· Maintaining accurate electronic medical records using Accuro EMR

· Contacting patients for follow ups

· Measuring and recording height and weight

· Supporting overall clinic flow and patient movement

· Completing general administrative tasks such as faxing,



photocopying, and responding to information requests

· Providing assistance to physicians when required

· Maintaining cleanliness (this may involve light cleaning duties)

· Following clinic policies and upholding professional standards at all times

· Demonstrating integrity, accountability, and ethical practice in all aspects of work

Qualifications & Requirements

· Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program or equivalent experience

· Prior experience in a medical office setting

· Experience using Accuro EMR is a MUST

· Strong organizational and time-management skills

· Professional, compassionate, respectful and patient-oriented attitude

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

· Comfort performing reception duties and interacting with patients and the public

· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm

Employment Terms

A three-month probationary period applies. Continued employment will be reviewed annually following successful completion of probation.

Compensation

Starting wage ranges from $ 19 depending on experience. After successfully completing the probationary period, the hourly rate increases to $ 21.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
