Agile Therapy & Rehabilitation Centre (DTRC) is one of Northern Ontario's fastest-growing multidisciplinary sports medicine clinics, and we're looking for a passionate Certified Athletic Therapist to join our team.

About Us
DTRC is a collaborative team of physiotherapists, athletic therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, a nurse practitioner, and strength & conditioning coaches working together to help our patients recover, perform, and stay active.
Our 7,000 sq. ft. facility includes:
- Modern rehabilitation clinic
- Fully equipped performance gym
- Semi-private and private treatment rooms
- Exercise rehabilitation space
- Access to advanced rehabilitation and performance equipment
We work with recreational athletes through to varsity and high-performance competitors across Northern Ontario.
Position Overview
This is a full-time position combining:
- Clinical assessment and treatment
- Sport-specific rehabilitation
- Emergency on-field athletic therapy coverage
- Injury prevention and return-to-play planning
- Collaboration with our multidisciplinary healthcare team
Compensation structure (employment or independent contractor)
will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do In the Clinic
- Assess and treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries
- Develop individualized rehabilitation programs
- Prescribe therapeutic exercise and return-to-sport progressions
- Perform manual therapy and therapeutic modalities where appropriate
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate with healthcare providers as needed
- Educate patients on injury prevention and performance optimization
On the Field
Provide athletic therapy coverage for local sporting events, including:
- Injury assessment and emergency management
- Concussion recognition and management
- Acute sideline care
- Taping, bracing and preventative support
- Return-to-play decision making
- Communication with coaches, athletes and parents
- Documentation following games and events
Field coverage may include evenings and occasional weekends throughout the year.
Qualifications
Required:
- Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C))
- Member in good standing with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association
- Current First Responder certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for helping athletes recover and perform at their best
Assets:
- Experience providing field coverage
- Experience working with competitive athletes
- Manual therapy certification
- Exercise prescription and strength & conditioning experience
- Concussion management experience
