Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher (Grades 1,2,3) to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing educational environment. As a Montessori Teacher, you will implement child-centered teaching methods based on the Montessori philosophy, encouraging independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Your role is vital in creating an engaging classroom where children develop essential skills through hands-on activities, guided exploration, and personalized support. Duties
- Design and deliver age-appropriate Montessori lessons that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials aligned with Montessori principles to facilitate independent learning.
- Observe and assess each child's progress, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities, including children with disabilities or special education needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development, milestones, and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance,
and behavioral observations using digital tools such as Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education.
Skills
- Must be MACTE accredited Lower Elementary Montessori teacher (grades 1, 2, 3)
- Undergrad degree
- Fluency in English oral and written skills; French or bilingual capabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Montessori teaching methods and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience teaching
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated organizational skills for managing classroom materials, schedules, and student records efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and communication purposes.
- Ability to manage time effectively to balance lesson planning, student supervision, and administrative tasks.
- Experience supporting individual learning goals is a plus.
