All Level Carptenters – Victoria

Location: Victoria BC
Pay Rate: $24.60 – $41.00 per hour, depending on experience and classification

We are seeking skilled and dependable carpenters to join the UBC Carpenters Union local 1598. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

- Concrete forming systems such as Aluma and PERI.
- Single and Multi family home construction - Custom Home experience preferred
- Commercial/Institutional interior and exterior renovations

This role involves working on diverse commercial and residential projects around the South Island, and installing vertical and horizontal forms. You will be responsible for executing detailed construction tasks with precision, ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout each project.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in construction-related roles with knowledge in the carpentry trade, concrete formwork, wood framing, building envelope and siding installation, interior finishing.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools,



and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures

Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments

- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Experience with restoration projects is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
