Duties

- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Prepare premium seafood and seasonal ingredients according to traditional Japanese techniques
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of every dish
- Supervise kitchen staff during service
- Train and mentor junior kitchen team members
- Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu development and seasonal offerings
- Support smooth execution of omakase service
- Monitor food waste and portion control
- Perform opening and closing kitchen procedures
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance issues
- Collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience

Skills

- Previous Sous Chef or senior line cook experience
- Japanese cuisine experience preferred
- Sushi or omakase experience is an asset
- Strong knife skills
- Leadership abilities
- Excellent time management
- Knowledge of food safety
- Ability to work under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Passion for Japanese culinary traditions

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
