Manager, Cost Accounting

Artemis is recruiting a Manager, Cost Accounting for an internationally established manufacturing company based in Vaudreuil.
This key role is opening up as part of a planned transition (retirement), offering a rare opportunity to step into a well-structured position with real impact on operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be at the heart of the financial performance of production while overseeing a small team.

Salary: $105,000 to $115,000 + benefits
Location: Vaudreuil

Your Role

- Analyze and explain production variances (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Produce financial performance reports for operations
- Prepare journal entries related to production variances
- Analyze direct labor costs by department
- Review purchase price variances (PPV) and standard costs
- Maintain production cost absorption rates




- Ensure the accuracy of inventories and revaluations
- Participate in month-end close (analyses, margins, budgets)
- Supervise and coach a small team
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA (a strong asset)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and good knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience in cost analysis / cost accounting
- Bilingualism (French/English) required
- Robust analytical and communication skills
