We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter/Labourer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing various painting and labour tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and experience in construction-related activities. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment on residential, commercial, or industrial sites
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks including rigging and carpentry work
- Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to support project progres
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines
Requirements
- Previous construction experience preferred; experience in restoration, residential painting, or industrial painting is a required. Minimum 2 years experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other relevant equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to scaffolding, rigging, and working at heights
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is required; willingness to travel between job sites is essential
