We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to various products and components, ensuring they meet our strict standards for durability and appearance. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, primers, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other equipment with precision and consistency
- Operate machinery such as cranes or forklifts as needed to move large or heavy items safely within the workspace
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with chemicals, paints, and equipment to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform quality inspections on painted surfaces to identify imperfections and rework as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used in compliance with manufacturing standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge coupled with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finishes
- Basic understanding of machining processes and assembly techniques is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
