We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist with food preparation, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment for all guests. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on the dessert experience, and who enjoy engaging with customers in a quick-paced setting.
Duties
- Serve ice cream and other menu items efficiently and accurately to customers
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
- Assist with food preparation, including scooping, topping, and packaging ice cream products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep and serving areas
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest questions and ensuring satisfaction
- Restock supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Effective time management to handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Food preparation skills specific to the food industry, especially desserts or ice cream serving
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Kitchen experience or food handling background is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
Pay: $17.00-$17.25 per hour
