Job description:

1st Call Health & Safety, headquartered in Whitecourt, AB, specializes in the development, maintenance, and implementation of Workplace Legislative and Transportation Programs across Canada and the US. We also have an Occupational Testing Division. We are currently seeking a HSE Advisor to join our team in the Whitecourt area. This job opportunity would be full time Monday – Friday with the occasional evening or weekend call out as required. Occasional evening or weekend on-call work may be required. Job responsibilities include:

- Administratively manage and maintain your assigned client’s day to day safety files for all HSE related paperwork
- Assist with online compliance for client companies
- Travel to local client office spaces to maintain physical records
- Maintain electronic records
- Execute various onboarding procedures with newly hired employees for client companies
- Implement current procedures and execute changed or updated procedures with clients
- Communicating between clients, their employees and management while adhering to set deadlines




- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Complete occupational testing, testing includes: Mask Fit Testing, Drug & Alcohol Testing, etc.
- WCB case management
- Conduct internal investigations and ensure measurable corrective actions are taken into full consideration
- Assist management on tracking corrective actions to completion
- Monitor Provincial/Federal Log Books, trip inspections and audit them as required
- Conduct Shop/Office inspections as needed
- Assist the implementation of SECOR/COR programs and ensure schedules are met

Must have skills and attributes include:

- Ability to multi-task
- Working with limited supervision
- Working as part of a team
- Confident and out spoken

We are willing to train the right candidate, though preference would be given to those with previous experience in safety and/or administrative fields. Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.

Current wage will be dependent on experience. Candidates must be located in Whitecourt, Alberta.
