Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving drinks, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. Previous experience with POS systems such as CLR POS is preferred, along with a background in restaurant or food industry settings. The position offers an opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a lively environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly, skilled manner to enhance their experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order entry and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage cash handling accurately, including cashing out customers at the end of shifts
- Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels throughout the shift
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to legal drinking age regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
- Follow all food safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with serving food when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations
Experience
- Minimum 2 months+ previous Pub & food service experience preferred, especially in bartending roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Experience in hospitality or the food industry is a MUST!
