Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Eastview Drugs in Red Deer. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in ensuring safe medication dispensing, providing expert advice, and supporting our commitment to community health. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our customers. Hours are flexible and we've always done our best to accommodate any days off requested. Ideally, we are looking for someone available for a minimum of 16 hours/wk and up to 32-36 hours/wk if desired. However, given how short staffed we will be come September we're willing to hire for less hours if a pharmacist is just looking to work occasional evenings or weekends, etc. Health benefits can be negotiated. Hourly pay will be negotiated based on experience and any extra qualifications the applicant may have.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
- Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Manage medication inventory and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Educate patients on health and wellness topics relevant to their prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient interactions.
- Stay updated on the latest pharmaceutical developments and regulations.
- Support the pharmacy team in daily operations to ensure excellent customer service.
- Administer medications by injection.
- Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license in Alberta.
- Excellent communication skills and patient care orientation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Pay: $58.00-$65.00 per hour
