AI Application Development Engineer

(Intern-Friendly / Junior / Senior)

- Role Type: AI-Native Product Implementation
- Positions Available: 3–4
- Salary Range: Minimum $25/hour (or $25+ if applicable)
- Products: TrueSourceEdu, TopoGrow, Di-Edu
- Keywords: AI coding, Vibe Coding, rapid implementation, validation, full-stack learning

Role Definition & Project Background

Use AI coding tools to turn product requirements into working pages, features, and workflows—and understand, modify, debug, and validate the code you produce across three AI-native products:

- TrueSourceEdu: An international education information and decision-support system.
- TopoGrow: A family growth-record and long-term insight system.
- Di-Edu: A school information and operations system.

What You Will Do

Participate in the full implementation loop from a PM-defined task to a tested, reviewable result:

- Implement pages, components, forms, workflows, and interactions from tasks formally assigned by the PM.
- Use Codex and other AI coding tools to explore solutions and accelerate implementation.
- Translate product notes, user flows, prototypes, and diagrams into working features.
- Build and maintain responsive web pages, internal tools, dashboards, and administrative interfaces.
- Connect APIs, databases, authentication, file handling, search, AI services, and notifications where required.
- Read, modify, debug, and validate AI-generated code instead of accepting it without review.
- Turn rough prototypes into features that can be used, tested, documented, and iterated.
- Record what changed, how it was tested, what remains uncertain, and what the PM needs to decide.

What We Value Most

- You can understand a real product problem and turn it into an operable feature.
- You use AI to accelerate thinking and implementation, not to avoid understanding the code.

- You can find the cause of a failure rather than repeatedly asking AI for another answer.
- You validate features from the user perspective with real interactions and test data.
- You can move across technologies and projects while respecting shared architecture and task boundaries.
- You communicate blockers, uncertainty, and defects clearly and early.

Requirements for Internship Applicants

Professional work experience is not necessary. We care more about evidence of learning, building, and validation.

- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Engineering, or a related field; strong computer science programs are preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with at least one programming language or web technology; able to read and modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or comparable code.
- Core Skills: Able to complete basic API calls, data access, user interactions, and error handling. Basic understanding of Git, APIs, databases, debugging, and software delivery.
- AI Tooling: Hands-on experience using AI coding tools or Vibe Coding in coursework, personal projects, internships, hackathons, or take-home work.
- Mindset: Willing to work in an early-stage workplace where product requirements are continuously refined; able to work within PM-defined task scope and report blockers or ambiguity promptly.

Required Standard & Expected Deliverables

Required Standard:

You must be able to understand the code you submit and must not deliver AI-generated output without testing and human verification.

Deliverables:

- Working pages and product features.
- Interfaces connected to test data or existing services.
- User workflows that can be operated and checked.
- AI-assisted code that has been manually reviewed and tested.
- A concise change log and usage note.
- Reproducible issue reports and evidence of fixes.

Preferred Evidence (Bonus)

- A public or shareable project, course project, hackathon project, or working prototype.
- Experience with AI agents, RAG, knowledge bases, automation, or AI workflows.
- Exposure to both frontend and backend work, databases, deployment, or data products.
- Use of Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Trae, Copilot, or comparable tools.
- A clear explanation of how you prompted, inspected, tested, and corrected AI output.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
