Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Owner Operator Driver to join our logistics team. This role offers the opportunity to operate your own vehicle while managing freight deliveries across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess solid driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This position provides the flexibility of being an independent contractor with the support of a reputable transportation company.
Line Haul drivers from Canada to USA - Dedicated trips to Calgary, Toronto, Montreal.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and freight carriers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Manage and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch teams and maintain accurate documentation of shipments
- Operate heavy equipment as required for loading, unloading,
or other operational needs
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of your vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is preferred
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for maintaining vehicle performance
- Prior experience with freight management and logistics coordination is a plus
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and transportation regulations
