We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Subcontractor Master Tiler. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tile installation and a mastery of various tiling techniques. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional results.

Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework

Collaboration:

- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all construction elements into the overall project.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities

- Installing tiles on walls, floors, and other surfaces according to design plans and specifications.
- Cutting, shaping, and aligning tiles to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Mixing and applying mortar or adhesive to secure tiles in place.
- Grouting tiles to fill gaps and seal joints.
- Repairing or replacing damaged tiles as needed.
- Collaborating with designers, architects, and other construction professionals to achieve project goals.
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and is completed on time and within budget.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Receive direction from the project manager as directed.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in tile installation, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Mastery of various tiling techniques, including but not limited to, ceramic, porcelain, marble, and mosaic.




- Must have own vehicle, tools, and equipment for tile installation.
- Must carry their own Liability Insurance and Workers Comp (WSIB).
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to tile installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tiles and equipment.
- Must be clean, tidy, and responsible for maintaining a safe job site.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Must have a smartphone and basic computer skills for receiving dispatch orders.
- Completion of a formal tiling apprenticeship is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation

$50 - $60 hourly
