Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant (Casual) to support our early childhood education programs. We are seeking someone to work 4-6 hours per day as a break coverage staff, as well as extra hours as needed in a substitute role. This role involves working closely with children to foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, attentive, and passionate about supporting children's development and well-being. Responsibilities

- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development
- Assist with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and outdoor play
- Support classroom management and ensure a secure environment for all children
- Foster positive interactions with children, encouraging their curiosity and independence




- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to implement educational plans and activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas

Experience

- Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Background in teaching or early childhood education is beneficial
- Previous caregiving experience working with children of various ages is desirable
- Passion for supporting children's growth and development along with strong caregiving skills are essential
- Montessori experience or knowledge is beneficial

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
