Job Title: Centre Director - Bruno Childcare Centre

Location: Bruno, Saskatchewan

Candidates must be located within a 50 km radius of Bruno for commuting or be willing to relocate prior to starting. Please note this position does not offer relocation assistance.

About Us: Bruno Childcare Centre (BCC), serving the community since October 2023, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Director to oversee the operations of our daycare. Located in Bruno, Saskatchewan, BCC caters to families from a 40 km radius of surrounding rural municipalities. With a capacity for thirty children aged 18 months to 5 years old, including school-aged children and a before-after school program, BCC operates from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

Procedural Development:

- Develop and implement effective procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the childcare centre.
- Ensure compliance with The Child Care Act of Saskatchewan and the Child Care Regulations of Saskatchewan.

Board Engagement:

- Attend board meetings, providing written reports and valuable advice to the board.
- Collaborate with the board to make informed decisions for the benefit of the childcare center.

Financial Management:

- Complete monthly financial tasks such as billing, payables, receivables, and payroll.
- Purchase necessary services, supplies, and equipment according to the operating budget.

Licensing Compliance:

- Complete annual licensing requirements and ensure BCC operates in full compliance with regulatory standards.

Staff Management:





- Arrange staff scheduling to maintain appropriate ratios.
- Train and mentor staff members, ensuring they meet high-quality care standards.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and recruit new staff as required.

Program Oversight:

- Ensure the implementation of appropriate developmental programming.
- Oversee menu planning to provide nutritious meals for the children.

Communication and Liaison:

- Maintain effective communication with families, addressing parent concerns promptly.
- Act as a liaison between the board and parents to foster positive relationships.

Other Duties:

- Undertake additional responsibilities as required for the effective functioning of the childcare center (i.e. fundraising).

Qualifications:

- Early Childhood Education certificate (Level 3 preferred) or enrollment in ECE certification courses.
- Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- First Aid certification.
- Food Safe certification.
