Job Description:

NVIT anticipates a requirement for Term Instructors to teach the following courses in conjunction with Lax Kw’alaams First Nations,



courses will be delivered in a hybrid format. NVIT invites applications from qualified individuals.

- INST 050 – Indigenous Studies I
- INST 060 – Indigenous Studies II
- MATH 055 – Intro to Algebra II
- MATH 040 – ALFM Level V & VI
- MATH 041 – Introductory Algebra I
- MATH 057 – Intermediate Algebra I
- ENGL 040 – Reading Comprehension
- ENGL 050 – Writing Skills
- ENGL 060 – Literature and Composition
- STSC 101 – Strategies for Success

Requirements/Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or have equivalent training and experience;
- Post-secondary teaching experience with Aboriginal adult learners is preferred;
- Robust interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently;
- Knowledge of Indigenous history and cultures.
