Position Overview

Santa Lucia Pizza is currently seeking reliable, hardworking, and experienced Kitchen Staff Members to join our kitchen team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in preparing quality food.

As a Kitchen Staff Member, you will play an important role in the daily operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food safety standards are met, and working together with your teammates to deliver an exceptional dining experience to every guest.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to Santa Lucia Pizza's recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared accurately and efficiently during busy service periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Restock food, sauces, and supplies to ensure the kitchen is always prepared for service.




- Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation before orders leave the kitchen.
- Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory using proper food storage procedures.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required.
- Work closely with cooks, supervisors, and other kitchen staff to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Report equipment issues or supply shortages to management promptly.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented workplace.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or restaurant is required.
- Food Handler Certificate is considered a solid asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
