Position: Assistant Store Manager – Freshslice Pizza (4075 Cambie St)
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: $19.25 - $20.25 per hour (Based on experience)
Overview:
As an Assistant Manager at Freshslice, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high operational standards. You will also play an active role in local marketing and customer acquisition, helping increase store visibility and grow the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Staff Supervision
Assist in managing day-to-day store operations
Lead and support team members during shifts
Ensure staff follow company standards and procedures
Help train and onboard new team members
2. Customer Service & Guest Experience
Maintain a high level of customer service excellence
Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively
Create a welcoming and positive store atmosphere
3. Food Preparation & Quality Control
Ensure pizzas and menu items are prepared according to Freshslice standards
Monitor food hygiene and safety practices
Conduct regular product quality checks
4. Store Operations & Administration
Assist with shift scheduling and workforce planning
Handle accurate cash management and end-of-day reports
Monitor and maintain inventory levels
Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the store
5. Marketing & Customer Outreach
Participate in local and in-person marketing efforts (e.g., flyer handouts,
nearby business engagement, community interaction)
Help attract new customers and increase brand awareness
Support promotional campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness
Qualifications & Skills
Priorities will be with the candidates who has Previous experience at Freshslice or similar quick-service environment (Required)
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities
Ability to engage customers and represent the brand positively
Comfort with field marketing and promoting store offerings in the local community
Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Basic POS/computer skills (an asset)
Work Conditions

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
