Job Title: Mechanical Designer & Builder
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Full-Time (In-Person)
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Designer & Builder to join our team. This role combines mechanical design expertise with practical fabrication, assembly, and installation responsibilities. The successful candidate will ensure a seamless transition from concept development to final implementation while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and performance.

This position requires both strong SolidWorks design experience and hands-on mechanical assembly skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Design test fixtures, nests, and mechanical test systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
- Review and revise designs based on engineering feedback and performance requirements

Prototyping & Testing

- Develop and test prototypes to validate design concepts
- Analyze performance data and implement design improvements as needed

Fabrication Oversight

- Coordinate with machinists and fabricators to ensure accurate manufacturing
- Monitor production processes to maintain adherence to design specifications

Assembly & Installation

- Oversee mechanical assembly and integration of components
- Support on-site installations at client manufacturing facilities when required
- Ensure proper functionality and system integration

Quality Assurance





- Conduct inspections and functional testing
- Ensure completed systems meet performance and quality standards

Project Coordination

- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and budget

Qualifications & Skills

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Practical hands-on experience with fabrication, machining, and assembly processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High attention to detail and quality control standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Required Conditions

- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Work Environment

- Primarily in-office and assembly lab setting
- Occasional travel for on-site installation and client support at manufacturing facilities
