Tiny Hoppers Early Learning Centre is looking for reliable On-Call Float Staff to support our classrooms and help maintain child-to-staff ratios when team members are away or when classrooms need additional support.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants flexible daytime hours in a positive childcare workplace. This position may lead to a permanent classroom role as the centre grows.

Responsibilities

- Assist educators in classrooms with children aged 12 months – 5 years
- Help supervise children during playtime, learning activities, and outdoor time
- Support teachers during meals, naps, and transitions
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment
- Step into different classrooms as needed throughout the day
- Follow daycare policies and safety procedures

Requirements

- Experience working with young children (daycare, babysitting, nannying, or similar)
- Positive, patient, and energetic personality
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work well with children and staff




- Police Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)

Nice to Have

- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 1, 2, or 3
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Previous daycare or childcare centre experience

Schedule

- Monday – Friday
- On-call / casual shifts
- Shifts may occur anytime between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Hours vary depending on staffing needs and absences
- May lead to a part-time or full-time permanent position

Compensation

$17 – $21 per hour depending on experience
