S&R; Sawmills has a long history of Custom Cutting in the Lower Mainland. We are family run business that was established in 1963 and currently has a workforce of over 400 employees on a large strip of the Fraser River. Role Description:

Reporting to the Shift Foreman employees are responsible for grading final products to ensure conformance to company specifications and classify products according to industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Grading final products according to industry standards
- Measure and inspect lumber to ensure specified thickness, length, and width
- Visually examine product for knots, holes, splits or other defects
- Read and follow cut specifications

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

- Minimum 2 years Custom cut Sawmill Grading experience
- Valid grading ticket/certification




- Physical demands require be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills
- Safety first attitude
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work (Mill is transit accessible)
- Must be able to do shift work (Day shifts are 7:00am – 3:30pm, Afternoon shifts are 3:30pm-12:00am)
