Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mason or labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in masonry work.
Responsibilities :
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as mortar and concrete
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Prepare and clean surfaces for masonry work
- Assist in setting up scaffolding and safety barriers
- Cut bricks and stones using hand or power tools as directed
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during construction projects.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to achieve project goals within deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work setting by following safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in masonry work or similar role is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels.
- Experience with power tools including saws, drills, and mixers is essential.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Valid certification cards (WHMIS, working in heights, forklift)
