Ann-Louise Jewellers is the leading retail jewellery chain in Western Canada and has been a successful and growing business for over four decades. We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant for our head office in Vancouver. This would be a great position for those wanting to establish and progress their career in accounting or for those seeking a long term stable career working with a tight-knit accounting group. You will be given a wide variety of tasks to support our accounting team and the overall business.

The job duties include the following:

- Preparation of the quarter end and year end financial statements
- Performing variance analysis and examining other financial statistics to determine reasonability of GL balances
- Processing semi monthly payroll and handling payroll related issues from employees
- Reviewing accounts payable processes, including invoices and payments
- Preparing schedules and recording journal entries into the GL




- Performing special projects that support and advance the accounting team

The individual must have the following qualifications:

- Minimum five years of accounting experience is required
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Sage accounting system would be an asset
- Strong work ethic
- Highly organized, be able to work independently, and have the ability to take initiative on tasks
