Under the supervision of the Operations Director, the Technician receives work instructions from the Team Leader. They understand the company’s mission and embody its values in their work. The main tasks involve the installation, verification, and commissioning of telecommunications equipment and devices.

RESPONSABILITIES

· Install and commission antennas, radios, and LTE/5G and microwave (MW) equipment;

· Configure point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios;

· Perform firmware updates, link testing, and performance diagnostics;

· Carry out antenna alignment and signal validation;

· Troubleshoot and optimize wireless links;

· Work at heights while complying with safety standards;

· Install cellular telecommunications equipment and devices;

· Support the improvement of methods and procedures by participating in team meetings;

· Produce various types of test and administrative reports;

· Comply with the policies of different clients and of DS-Xpert;

· Install telecommunications equipment according to client, operator, and/or manufacturer standards and procedures, while maintaining the highest quality standards;

· Perform testing, configuration, and commissioning of installed equipment in accordance with client operator and/or manufacturer standards and procedures;

· Continuously improve installation, testing, and commissioning procedures;

· Write technical and administrative reports, work orders, or other documents according to client standards;

· Ensure project follow-ups to support billing;





· Perform work in compliance with DS-Xpert's or clients' health & safety policies, as applicable.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications;

· Ability to understand technical documentation related to the job;

· Knowledge of various equipment such as OTDR, Wiltron, fusion splicer, etc.;

· Familiarity with the following technologies: LTE, 5G, NOKIA, Ericsson, ALPHA equipment;

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;

· Ability to adapt to technological changes and evolving industry standards;

· Must enjoy working outdoors (year round);

· Must have a valid driver's license;

· Key qualities for this position include autonomy, initiative, teamwork, organization, attention to detail, and solid communication skills.
