Overview

ABC Health Transportation is seeking compassionate and dependable drivers to provide non-emergency medical transportation for clients requiring wheelchair or stretcher support.

This role involves transporting seniors and patients to and from hospitals, medical appointments, and care facilities while ensuring a safe and respectful experience.

This is a casual / part-time position with flexible scheduling and opportunities for consistent weekday work.

Responsibilities

- Safely transport clients using wheelchair-accessible or stretcher-equipped vehicles
- Assist clients with mobility, including wheelchair loading/unloading and securement
- Support clients during pickup and drop-off (home, hospital, or facility)
- Work alongside an attendant (for stretcher services when required)
- Maintain punctuality and professional communication
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety standards

Requirements

- Valid Ontario G license (clean driving record required)
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with mobility needs
- Ability to safely assist clients with transfers and mobility support




- Strong communication and patient-focused attitude
- Physically capable of assisting with wheelchair or stretcher operations

Preferred (Not Required)

- Experience in medical transportation or healthcare
- PSW (Personal Support Worker) background
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Experience operating wheelchair-accessible or stretcher vehicles

Compensation

- $22 – $35/hour equivalent (based on trips completed)
- Higher rates for stretcher trips
