Job Overview: We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Outdoor Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves interacting with customers in the outdoor environment of our busy lumber yard, providing assistance, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of building materials, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers with their inquiries and needs regarding lumber and building materials. Provide product information and recommendations based on their projects.
- Order Processing: Help customers with placing orders, including selecting and locating products, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with the yard team for timely fulfillment.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our products, including types of lumber, building materials, and hardware, to offer informed advice and support to customers.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels by monitoring stock, organizing displays, and reporting low or out-of-stock items to ensure product availability.
- Safety and Maintenance: Ensure the outdoor area is clean, organized, and safe for both customers and staff. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Problem Resolution:



Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating complex matters to a supervisor if necessary.
- Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from customers to help improve service and provide insights to management regarding customer needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail or lumberyard environment. Familiarity with building materials is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide explicit and helpful information in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and move materials up to [weight limit], as well as stand and walk for extended periods.
- Attitude: Positive, proactive, and team-oriented with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Additional: Valid driver’s license
