Simon Lift Systems Inc. is a well-established high-reach equipment rental company specializing in aerial work platforms, telehandlers, and related equipment.
We are looking for a motivated and dependable 2nd Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting hands-on experience in a busy, professional shop environment focused on safety, quality workmanship, and long-term career growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aerial lifts, telehandlers, and related equipment
- Assist Journeyman technicians and Shop Foreman with diagnostics and repairs
- Complete preventative maintenance and service work
- Maintain accurate service records and inspection documentation
- Participate in field service calls when required
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist with equipment preparation, testing, and final quality checks
Requirements:
- Registered 2nd Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 is considered an asset)
- Must have previous experience with boom, scissor lift, and telescopic Forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
