Student Transportation of Canada is currently seeking a 310T Mechanic for our Port Hope location; 4th Year Apprentices will also be considered for this role. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing company that offers competitive wages, professional growth and work-life balance.
The shift for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Wage: Up to $40.00 per hour

Qualifications
- Licensed 310T Mechanic or 4th Year Apprentice
- Safety Inspection License
- Experience working with a Fleet Management System is considered an asset
- Previous school bus experience considered an asset
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Own hand tools
- Valid Driver’s License
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Computer and diagnostic equipment skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills and well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Comprehensive screening and background checks are required, including references, drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check
Key Responsibilities
- Ongoing maintenance/repair of various school buses
- Brake and Safety Inspections
- Compliance with Company policies and procedures as well as the Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations governing the location is a must
