Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist/Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, mechanical knowledge, and CAD design. This role involves creating, modifying, and maintaining tools and parts with high accuracy to support our customers. Our companies main focus is supporting local manufactures with all their needs from new tooling to repairing or replacing components. We do not build stamping dies.

Responsibilities

- Operate CNC machinery including CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, and other machining equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints using CAD software such as Mastercam or AutoCAD
- Program CNC machines utilizing CNC programming skills to produce precise components
- Manual machining using mills, lathes and grinders
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Fabricate and modify tools, jigs, fixtures, and parts according to specifications
- Perform welding and assembly tasks as needed for tool fabrication or repair
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and perform routine maintenance

Experience





- Proven experience in machining environments with hands-on work involving CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and manual machining tools
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Mastercam or AutoCAD for designing and schematics interpretation
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, math skills for precise measurements, and schematics reading
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, welding techniques, and assembly processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards, machining tolerances, and quality control procedures
- Prior experience with CNC programming and operation is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into machined parts or tools

This position requires a dedicated professional with excellent technical skills and a commitment to precision craftsmanship. Candidates should demonstrate solid mechanical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
