We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and proficiency with various accounting software. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting budgeting processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data integrity
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting tasks
- Support budgeting activities by preparing financial reports and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and records
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or Xero is required
- Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
- Familiarity with budgeting processes is preferred
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
