Description
This is the perfect opportunity for a technically innovative thinker and mechanically inclined person that has an interest in taking things apart and putting things back together. We are looking for an energetic new Product Technician to join our team in Calgary AB.
The Product Technician plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production and delivery of high-quality products. This position involves using tools, assembling components, and conducting quality control inspections to meet production targets and maintain product standards.
- Perform product assembly tasks using hand tools and machinery. Follow standardized operating procedures to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Conduct quality control inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to verify product specifications, identify defects or inconsistencies and ensure adherence to quality standards. Taking corrective actions when necessary to maintain product integrity.
- Coordinate with the supply chain manager to ensure adequate stock availability and minimize production disruptions.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean workspace.
- Ability to adapt and learn new techniques, and continuously improve product knowledge and skills.
Required Qualifications
- Legally allowed to work in Canada (Open Resident/ Work Permit)
- Proficiency in operating small power tools (drill)
- Comfortable with using technology on a daily basis.
- Have good attention to detail to correct errors and spot mistakes.
- The ability to work independently and be self-motivated to meet deadlines.
- The ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet production targets.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- A high school diploma
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with assembly processes, measurement tools, and quality control techniques is valuable.
- Start-up experience is valuable, so expectations are known.
- Any education/experience in dealing with production is considered an asset but not required
- Any knowledge of electrical systems or components is an asset but not required
