Position Summary

As a Personal Support Worker/Health Care Aide, you will provide non-medical and personal care services to clients in their homes while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. Every day is different, and you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients and their families while providing care that truly matters.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required.
- Perform light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, and maintaining a protected environment.
- Assist with medication reminders (as permitted by company policy).
- Accompany clients to appointments and community outings when required.
- Encourage participation in activities that promote independence and well-being.
- Observe and report changes in a client's physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
- Complete accurate documentation following each shift.
- Communicate effectively with families, supervisors,



and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker experience is considered an asset.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with reliable vehicle.
- Current vehicle insurance and willingness to travel between client homes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while following individualized care plans.
