Social Media Videographer & Video Editor

About the Role

Zera Studio is looking for a creative videographer and video editor to produce high-quality content for our founder’s personal brand and company social media channels.

The primary focus will be content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. You will help film, edit and package content that feels premium, modern and native to each platform.

This is an in-person role based in the Niagara Falls and St. Catharines area. Some editing work may be completed remotely.

Responsibilities

- Film short-form social media content, promotional videos, behind-the-scenes content and educational videos
- Ideation. Scripting content based on viral trends
- Edit footage into engaging videos optimized for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
- Create solid hooks, pacing, captions, sound design, transitions and visual effects
- Help develop creative concepts and identify content opportunities
- Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form videos
- Organize footage, project files and exported content
- Follow brand guidelines while bringing new creative ideas to the content
- Stay current with social media formats, editing trends and platform best practices
- Deliver content consistently and meet agreed deadlines

Requirements

- Proven experience filming and editing social media content
- A strong portfolio of short-form videos
- Strong understanding of pacing, retention,



storytelling and attention-grabbing hooks
- Experience using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut
- Experience with motion graphics or After Effects is an asset
- Comfortable filming a person speaking directly to camera
- Strong understanding of lighting, framing, audio and camera settings
- Reliable transportation and the ability to attend shoots in the Niagara area
- Ability to work independently and take creative ownership
- Solid attention to detail and ability to handle revisions

Equipment

Please include a list of the camera, lighting and audio equipment you currently own or regularly use. Applicants with professional equipment are preferred.

Schedule

This position may begin as part-time or contract-based, with the opportunity to grow into a larger ongoing role.

Shoot days will be scheduled in advance. Editing may be completed remotely.

Pay: $17.20-$30.00 per hour
