Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Associate with a minimum of 10

years of dedicated family law experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced practice, demonstrates strong judgment, and can independently manage files while contributing to a team-oriented department.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a varied caseload, including divorce, parenting/decision-making and parenting time, support issues, property division, and domestic violence matters.
- Provide strategic, high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, financial statements, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Attend court (case conferences, motions, trials), mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on complex matters and file strategy.
- Maintain current knowledge of legislation, rules, and case law developments.
- Build and sustain strong,



professional client relationships.

Qualifications

- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum 10 years of experience practicing family law in Ontario.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Professionalism, empathy, and strong client-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
