Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient food service environment. Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and preparing simple dishes
- Support cooking activities by maintaining supplies and ensuring ingredients are ready for meal service
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas
- Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of low supplies or equipment needs
- Support the overall flow of food service operations to ensure timely delivery of meals
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food industry setting is beneficial
- Robust attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines are essential for success in this role
