Operations Accountant

Tourmaline Oil Corp. (“Tourmaline”) is Canada’s largest natural gas producer focused on long-term
growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western
Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

We are currently looking for an Operations Accountant to join our Calgary office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Supervisor Operations Accounting, the Operations Accountant will be responsible for,
but not be limited to, the following duties:

- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual prepaid and deposit analysis and entries
- Monthly reallocation of operating costs
- Process, manage and analyze insurance invoices
- Preparation and analysis of monthly accrual for specific operating expenses and income,

including but not limited to property taxes, AER admin fees, BC production levy, orphan levies,
TIER, carbon tax, freehold mineral taxes and PST

- Process, manage and analyze annual operations invoices including but not limited to property

tax, AER admin fees, orphan levies, TIER
- Operating expense adjusting entries as required




- Liaise with other accounting groups to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Respond to inquiries from other departments by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting

operational and financial data.

- Assist with variance analysis and account reconciliations.
- Support external audit requests.
- Preform Ad hoc analysis, reporting and special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience is required
- Solid communication skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work individually and in a team setting
- Strong work ethic and ability to take pride and ownership of work
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft D365 and Open Invoice an asset, not required
- Proficient with Microsoft products
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to support day-to-day work activities
