HELT manufactures aluminum entrance doors, windows, and facade elements in St. Catharines to a German engineering standard. We are a small, growing team, and we are hiring a Production Lead to own our production floor.

About the role

You take over full responsibility for production: cutting, machining, assembly, quality control, and packaging. Project planning and work preparation come to you ready — complete fabrication drawing packages with assembly lists, CNC drawings, cut optimization sheets, and cross sections. Your job is execution, quality, and the crew.

Responsibilities

- Run aluminum window, door, and curtain wall production from drawing package to finished element
- Read and work from fabrication drawings; catch errors before they become aluminum
- Operate, set up, and calibrate production machinery: miter saw, copy router, end mill, corner press — and improvise when something doesn't cooperate
- Perform final quality inspection and hold release authority on every unit that leaves the building
- Own receiving inspection of imported profiles, glass, and hardware
- Follow our documented production procedures, improve them where needed, and hold the floor to them
- Train and lead a small production crew; build the standards our next hires learn from
- Maintain a clean, safe,



organized shop in line with OHSA requirements

Requirements

- 5+ years in aluminum fenestration production (windows, doors, or curtain wall) — this is non-negotiable
- Experience leading people on a shop floor
- Fluent reading of fabrication and assembly drawings
- Hands-on machine competence: saws, routers, milling, corner crimping
- A standard of work where tolerances are not approximate
- OHSA fluency and a clean safety record
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to have

- Forklift certification
- Experience with European aluminum profile systems
- Experience building or improving production SOPs
