About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and versatile Breakfast Attendant / Maintenance Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring a positive breakfast experience for guests while also assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Breakfast Attendant Duties

- Set up and prepare the breakfast area before service

- Replenish food, beverages, and supplies during breakfast hours

- Ensure food presentation and quality standards are maintained

- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, kitchen space, and dining room

- Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service

- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

- Clean and break down the breakfast area after service

Maintenance Duties





- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property

- Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues

- Address plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair needs as assigned

- Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal upkeep and cleanliness

- Ensure hotel equipment and facilities are functioning properly

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff

- Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections

Requirements

- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, maintenance, or a related field is an asset

- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair work

- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

- Food Handler Certification is an asset

- Previous maintenance or handyman experience is an asset

- Valid driver's license is an asset
