Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with hand and power tools. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while performing tire-related services, including installation, repair, and maintenance. The Tire Technician plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and customer satisfaction through expert tire care and basic automotive maintenance.
Duties
- Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires efficiently and accurately
- Perform wheel alignments and other related automotive repairs as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove and install tires and wheels
- Conduct safety inspections on tires and related vehicle components
- Assist customers with tire selection, sales, and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Heavy lifting of tires and wheels to facilitate installation or removal
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions or concerns
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
Qualifications
- Dealership experience or mechanic experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and tire technology
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent customer service skills with a skilled attitude
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience with sales or upselling services is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license preferred for test-driving vehicles after service completion
