We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Injection Moulding Process and Setup Technician - to set-up/start-up/troubleshoot/produce our products in our manufacturing plant.

DUTIES:

- Effectively designate machines to operators based on production schedules and ensure manpower and production efficiency on plant floor
- Proficiently setup and start up molds using molding practices, ensure necessary documentation is completed after start up
- Perform troubleshooting of problem concerns by identifying the true root cause
- Monitor productivity of the injection molding process and production scrap. Optimize process to increase efficiency, product quality and reduce scrap
- Review production processes to ensure they are running as the documented process.



If not, determine root cause, document findings and inform the necessary personnel
- Participate and lead training initiatives improve personal and co-worker (Junior Setup & Material Handler) skill sets
- Work with maintenance to identify machine related issues and tool room to identify mold related issues
- Ensure a clean and safe production floor at all times
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work good visual skills for assessing part quality

QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Valves, Electronics
- INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED
- At least 5 years' experience in the plastic injection moulding industry - demonstrate troubleshooting and plant improvement skills

- At least 2 years' experience as a setup technician.
- Strong mechanical, mathematical, organizational and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the plastic industry and machinery.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Eager to grow with the company and learn the newest processing techniques and strategies
- Able to properly follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance activities in order to be able to identify problems before they cause expensive repairs.
- Experience with a crane and forklift will be considered an asset.
