We are looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to work a Friday to Monday for 10 hour days. Wage will be based on experience.

Applicant Qualifications

- 3-5 years experience in Civil Industry
- The candidate will be experienced in Civil Contracting, Subdivisions, Water, Sewer and Storm Servicing
- Capable of digging around deep and shallow utilities with the ability to identify safety hazards and implement safe practices
- Shows pride in machinery maintenance; including pre-operational check ,as well as cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Will report any damage or issues with equipment to the appropriate Foreman or Supervisor immediately
- Accurately fill out daily logs
- Effectively communicate the need for material or equipment on job as required
- Team player with the ability to take direction and work closely with Foreman/Grounds crew
- Be willing to assist with grounds crew as needed

Experience

- 3-5 plus years experience with Excavator and Rock Truck.

- Valid class drivers license

- Knowledgeable of machine, daily maintenance, trouble shooting

- Able to take direction from anyone, open to different ways of doing things, willing to learn





- Works well with others

- Ground disturbance supervisor course required

- Be able to complete pre-trip and inspection reports

Tasks

- Grease equipment every day after use

- Clean cab of machine daily

- work safely around overhead lines

- work safely around underground utilities

- dig secure ditch in a timely manner

- cut grade, follow grade stakes and or laser

- Able to work in congested areas safely

- Fill out daily time card and submit end of each day

- Record equipment hours

- First Aid tickets is an asset
- Confined Space ticket would be a bonus
