Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport goods, materials, and equipment to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle physical tasks related to moving and loading cargo. A background in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and forklift operation is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Duties

- Safely operate a 5-ton truck for local deliveries and pickups according to scheduled routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate techniques, including heavy lifting and forklift operation when necessary.
- Ensure all shipments are secured properly before transit to prevent damage during transport.
- Assist with moving materials within warehouses or job sites as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.




- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during interactions with clients.

Experience

- Prior experience operating a 5-ton truck or similar commercial vehicles is required.
- Warehouse experience including moving and handling large or heavy items is preferred.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided.
- Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Proven track record of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Experience in customer service roles is advantageous for maintaining positive client relationships.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
