What You’ll Be Doing as the Assistant Controller

- Lead accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closes
- Oversee general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll and fixed assets
- Review reconciliations and reports, investigating errors and unusual activity
- Prepare financial statements, cash-flow forecasts and management reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audits and variance analysis
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures and ERP data integrity
- Manage sales-tax compliance and duty-recovery submissions




- Supervise the accounting team while independently driving priorities forward

About You as the Assistant Controller

- CPA designation completed or in progress
- Exceptional attention to detail and a questioning, investigative mindset
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and deliver results
- Experience with ERP systems and QuickBooks
- A combination of industry and public-practice experience is an asset
