Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, meat cutting, and food handling, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while maintaining strict food safety standards. The Meat Cutter/Butcher will play a vital role in delivering fresh, safe, and appealing meat products to our customers in a fast-paced retail or wholesale environment.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality
- Operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, saws, and grinders
- Package meat products securely for sale or distribution, labeling accurately with product information
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations




- Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable customer service when needed
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to management
- Follow all food safety procedures and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry, specifically in butchery or meat cutting, is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of perishable goods
- Skills in food preparation, packaging, and presentation
- Robust attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Kitchen experience or related food handling background is advantageous
- Ability to operate relevant equipment safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as required

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
