Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Controller to lead our financial operations and help drive the continued growth of our organization.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day financial operations of a growing mid-sized business. This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys balancing high-level strategic thinking with practical execution.

The Controller will oversee financial planning, reporting, analysis, and compliance, ensuring the organization's financial health while supporting informed business decisions. You will partner with senior leadership to optimize resource allocation, strengthen financial controls, identify opportunities for growth, and manage risk across the business.





The ideal candidate is a team-oriented leader who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You are equally comfortable developing long-term financial strategy, improving processes, and diving into the details when needed. You bring exceptional analytical skills, sound business judgment, and a proactive approach to leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Duties

- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to support growth and stability
- Oversee and when needed support the day to day operation of the accounting functions including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
- Lead budgeting efforts, monitor financial performance, and provide detailed reports to executive leadership for informed decision-making
- Manage risk analysis and risk management activities to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Drive cost management initiatives to improve operational efficiency without compromising quality or service delivery
- Facilitate investment activities by evaluating opportunities and managing portfolios to maximize returns
- Provide leadership in corporate finance activities such as funding,



capital structure optimization, and financial services partnerships
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify current revenue streams and expansion opportunities

Requirements

- Current and full certification as a CPA, valid in Ontario is required
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as a CFO or equivalent position within a fast-paced organization
- Strong expertise in accounting principles, bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting standards
- Extensive knowledge of corporate finance, investment strategies, and financial services industry practices
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting, cost management, and risk analysis to support organizational objectives
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and influence cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in risk management techniques and tools for effective mitigation of financial risks
- Experience in business development initiatives that drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
