Overview

The Content & Social Media Coordinator is a key member of Castle Mountain Resort’s Sales & Marketing team, responsible for bringing the Castle experience to life through authentic storytelling, engaging content, and meaningful digital interactions. Working closely with teams across the resort, this role captures the people, places, experiences, and moments that make Castle unique through compelling photo, video, and social media content, while helping communicate timely guest information such as daily snow conditions, mountain updates, and operational highlights. Responsibilities

- Create engaging photo and video content that inspires guest visits and aligns with the resort's content strategy and marketing objectives.
- Maintain a consistent content calendar in alignment with seasonal priorities, marketing campaigns, events, and resort operations.
- Manage daily social media activity across platforms, including content scheduling, posting, community engagement, and responding to guest inquiries and comments.
- Prepare and share daily winter content, including early morning snow reports, mountain conditions, and operational updates.
- Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to continually improve the creativity, quality, and performance of the resort's digital content.
- Capture content and provide social media coverage for key resort events, activities, and special initiatives.
- Coordinate with guests and staff to obtain signed photo and video release forms as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent,



with a preference to candidates with a degree or certificate in New Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field, and/or those with a strong portfolio demonstrating social media content creation.
- 1–3 years of experience in content creation, social media management, marketing, communications, photography, videography, or a related field.
- Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture engaging content in a variety of environments and conditions.
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing social media accounts across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in creating and editing short-form video content.
- Experience capturing photo and video content in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Intermediate or advanced skier or snowboarder.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and identify creative storytelling opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, clients, colleagues, and resort partners.
- Positive, proactive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
- Must provide and use personal camera equipment (DSLR or high-quality smartphone camera) and any required accessories.
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings during peak seasons and special events.

Where We Are

Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a work from home location. There is a communal living staff accommodation building on-site for new and returning non-supervisory, seasonal employees. Work Conditions

- This position requires on-site attendance, in a remote location.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Extended periods of time looking at visual displays.
- Large percentage of time spent outdoors, in sometimes extreme winter conditions.
- Versatile working hours required (working all weekends, occasional evenings).
